‘The Child lost and found in the Temple. My Seventh Sorrow and Joy’
Children of my Most Chaste Heart, I invite you to contemplate the pilgrimage of the Holy Family to the Temple of Jerusalem, above which dwelt the Shekinah, the Glory of God.
We took the Child, twelve years old; all the way we were praying and sharing the Word. When we arrived at the Temple, we trembled with love when we felt the presence of the Eternal Father and we offered our sacrifice to the Lord, prophesying the Sacrifice of the true Lamb: Jesus Christ.
We remembered in the Temple the prophecy of the prophet Simeon, how the Holy Spirit had been manifested in us all this time, confirming the Word of God.
We were returning to our homeland and, on the way back, we realized that Jesus was not with us. We looked for him throughout the pilgrimage.
We returned to Jerusalem looking for him in the streets, in the squares, in the Temple, for three days. Three days we lost him, as three days his most beloved Mother lost him when He was in the Sepulcher. We found the Child talking with the doctors and teachers of the Temple, what anguish our Heart felt. So should be the anguish of hearts that lose Jesus through sin.
But we were filled with joy to know that the Child was also understanding his mission to be in the things of the Father.
My children, too, I call all to consecrate themselves to the service of God and the two best ways to grow in the spiritual life are prayer and fasting.
Open your hearts, long for holiness.
I love you and bless you.
In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Hail Mary Most Pure, conceived without sin.
